Safety Tips
Always put on the appropriate personal protective equipment before entering either of our shops (eg. eye, ear, and respiratory protective gear).
Always tie hair back, remove any jewelry that can get in the way, and make sure there is no loose clothing that can get in the way. Work gloves are also strongly discouraged as these can get caught and pulled into machinery.
Never operate any equipment without staff supervision unless you have undergone our certification process. *Regardless of certification, our machine shop requires a staff member be present at all times. The same applies when using our table saw in the wood shop.
Do not work on metal in the wood shop and do not work on wood in the metal shop. Sparks and sawdust do not play well together and can cause a serious fire hazard!
Ask for help if you need it!
Always clean up after yourself and put things back where they belong. A clean shop is a safe shop.
